Summer “Vacation”
4 Comments Published by Camron Ware - Visual Worshiper May 27th, 2009 in Lighting Design, Visual WorshipFor the next 7 weeks; I’ll be traveling around the southeast US running lighting and projection for various summer camps. When able, I’ll be blogging about the events.
For three of those weeks I will be on Jekyll Island, Georgia; where during the day I’ll hang out on the beach reading Using Visual Aids in a Church, published 1949. Myself along with Stephen Proctor (www.worshipVJ.com) will be blogging about the book as we go through it.
You’ll definitely enjoy the beach at Jekyll. It’s not the most beautiful beach in the world, but the Island is nice. Saint Simons Island (it’s neighbor) is a great place as well. My wife and I are moving to that area in the next year or so. We;ve spent a lot of summers there. Enjoy!
I’ll be doing summer camp (World Changers) and reading Using Visual Aids In A Church as well…and blogging about it. What a small world!
and i have a flight halfway across the world coming up, so i should probably finish it sometime around the int’l date line.
Enjoy Jekyll! I did a camp there with Georgia Baptists many years ago. It was a lovely summer- the beaches there are very calm and untouristy (except when there are hundreds of teenagers around- but the weekends were nice!)…. Anyways, hope you have a great summer. Make sure to take some time out for yourself as traveling and working like that can really take it out of you! Enjoy your book- sounds like a good one, maybe I’ll give it a go soon!
