Moving Beyond Irving Bible Church…

After 7 years on full-time staff (to the day); I’m finally taking the leap of faith and ready to explore what God has for me beyond Irving Bible Church. I remember showing up to work my first Sunday there – I didn’t even have my driver’s license yet. My last day at Irving Bible Church will be January 15th.
The journey has been longer than just 7 years; I’ve literally grown up in Irving Bible Church starting in 2nd grade, and have seen and experienced many changes.
Irving Bible Church has been an incredible blessing to be a part of. I have loved being part of such a loving and fun staff, and being able to watch the ministries grow inside, and outside the walls of the church.
I am thankful for each and every person who has believed in me, let me mess up, and let me dream and play while pursing my passion. I firmly believe I was at Irving Bible Church for a reason; and that was to reignite something in the Church that’s been overlooked, and even forgotten for a long time. However, lately I’ve realized that it’s much bigger than just one church, and so over the last 6 months, I’ve been praying and searching for what God had next.
Now it’s time to share that passion on a much larger scale.
There are some very exciting things happening with Visual Worshiper that are way bigger than I could have ever imagined a year ago. A few other fellow visual worship artists from around the country and myself are venturing into a room in the Church that’s still largely unexplored. God has shown us a door and we are boldly, yet humbly pursuing what He has planned.
Visual Worshiper is going to be something that is broader than I ever dreamed of and, I believe, is going to have much more Kingdom impact within the Church.
I am still going to be doing freelance lighting and projection/video shows for camps, churches, schools, and conferences, as well as installs and what else comes my way that helps stretch/support me and further the Kingdom.
The greatest thing about pursing something like this is hearing God saying ‘It’s time for the next step’, and me trusting fully in that. No job offers, no guarantees.
This is a first for me and my structured and planned personality, and I love it. God is prompting and I know He will provide. I can’t wait to see what happens…
But I do have plenty of PB&J just in case.
