Gary: The “plates” look like standard “gaffer” tape to me. It’s available at pro video/film shops. It may remind you of duct tape, but the adhesive is designed to peel off without leaving a residue. It comes in at least two widths and various colors.

What are the plates on the projector lenses that square off your image, where do you get them and are they specific to the projector model?

This is an amazing look. Is there a specific process, and/or graphic that you use when you are edge blending. This is the part of attempting something like this that looks the most troublesome for me. Also, can you tell us a little about the projectors themselves? Matching, lumens and such?

Hi Andy; good to hear from you!

Yes, it’s actually bigger than it looks in the pictures, it’s not too bad. And yes, the projection WILL be hitting the band, even though I have the bottom blurred up. We (myself and the middle school staff) decided that that’s ok and the effect of the environmental projection is worth it.

Would the praise band be playing on that small platform?

I’m wondering if they would be in the midst of the projection being that close. It’s something I’m trying to decide how to deal with at our church. I’ll probably be e-mailing you soon to talk about it.

The tape is the highly techincal and expensive process of how I go about edge-blending the projectors. I used the same complicated setup at SuperWOW.
