I’ve been using the Road Hog console from High End for about 48 hours now, and I can say that I love it; at least for what I’m using it for. This is my first console with the Wholehog core and while it has it’s own funkiness and quirks, overall it is fast to learn, packed full of cool features, and fast to move around on in a live setting.
Speaking of High End, I’m excited about Bacro aquiring them. I can’t wait to see what products they come out with as one entity. Barco are the ones who developed this for U2. High End already has the SHOWPIX, and I’ve got some ideas about how the big tours will utilize them, but can’t wait to see them live. I’m sure lighting designer Bryan Hartley with Trans-Siberian Orchestra will use them for the 2008-2009 TSO winter tour.
